Jizo Shrine
We have built this Jizo (Kshtigarbha Bodhisattva) shrine at the temple, next to the grove of poplar trees.The statue was a gift to the temple from Ruth Handy for the New Year. The rounded stones are a traditional offering, representing our human weaknesses; even though they are stones and therefore not valuable in the eyes of the world, as offerings to Jizo they become precious and are returned to us as compassionate wisdom.

The altar of the horse-headed Avalokiteswara Bodhisattva, known as Bato.This altar, in the Shrine of the Pines, is the 29th altar (of 33) of the Pilgrimage of Returning Home.
