Pine Mountain Buddhist Temple & Meditation Retreat, 941 Lockwood Valley Road, Maricopa, CA 93252, is affiliated with the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives. The OBC has its Headquarters at Shasta Abbey, Mt. Shasta, CA 96067, and was founded by Reverend Master Jiyu-Kennett.
Pine Mountain Buddhist Temple was established to practice and teach Serene Reflection Meditation, (Soto Zen), and was originally founded as the Santa Barbara Buddhist Priory in 1979.
The resident Teachers, Rev. Phoebe Van Woerden and Rev. Seikai Luebke are disciples of the late Rev. Master Jiyu-Kennett, and Masters of the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives
